Alec Baldwin tells all in Nevertheless
Successful actor Alec Baldwin released his new memoir entitled Nevertheless on April 14th. The whole books is said the tell witty tales of his career and settle the disputes he's had over the years.I read about this in The New York Times and on News.com. While The New York Times focuses more on the book as a whole and how it compares to his first book, A Promise to Ourselves, written in 2008, News.com's article focuses on the celebrities Baldwin calls out in his new memoir.
The New York Times wrote "Baldwin makes a 'sophisticated effort' to understand his origins along with, as he delicately puts it, some 'incautious choices.'" This, along with the name of the article, "Alec Baldwin Settles Scores in New Memoir", gives readers the idea that the story will mainly tell about the overview of the plot of the book. The plot being that he explains the questionable choices he's made during his career.
News.com, on the other hand, focuses more on who is called out in the memoir. The article title itself is "Which celebs are called out on Alec Baldwin's blacklist? Memoir Nevertheless spills the dirt." From the title I was actually expecting more of a listicle. However, that was not the case. The article gave quotes like "'Ford, in person, is a little man, short, scrawny, and wiry, whose soft voice sounds as if it's coming from behind a door.' He wrote." They also gave quotes from what he said about Jerry Lee Lewis and Oliver stone. The article is pretty short and is kinda misleading to readers from the headline.
The memoir is already number 5 on the best-seller list and will most likely only go up from there.
